The new high performance line is equipped with the latest features
With operations in three countries, Indian SRF provides flexible packaging solutions for various applications ranging from fast moving consumer goods to industrial products. Within the packaging films industry, SRF has become one of the leading BOPET film manufacturers in India. For their BOPP film market entry some years ago, SRF teamed up with Brückner and is successfully running a production line at their subsidiary in Durban, South Africa. The company exports packaging films to around 60+ countries.
SRF recently decided to produce high-quality BOPP films also in their home country India. “The great success of our joint South Africa project made it obvious for us to cooperate with Brückner once again. We especially remembered the smooth commissioning and start-up phase we had back then. And of course there is the fact that the line has been producing reliably and on a constantly high quality level ever since”, says Mr. Hari K Singh, Sr. Vice President Global Operation & Business Excellence.
SRF is now looking forward to producing BOPP film at their new location in Indore, the largest city in Madhya Pradesh, the "heart of India". The new 8.7m wide high performance Brückner line will produce up to 6,350 kg per hour and is equipped with all the latest features. To name but a few: 5-layer technology with twin screw extrusion in the intermediate layers, direct flake processing, newly designed sliding system for a drastic reduction of lubrication use and TDO heat recovery system.
