The Brückner Group has been awarded the German Sustainability Award (DNP) in the category of Plastics and Rubber Industry.
As a group of market and technology-leading companies in engineering, as well as machinery and plant construction for the processing of plastics and alternative materials, sustainability has long been at the core of the Group's operations. The award recognized pioneers from 100 industries during the 17th German Sustainability Day on November 28, 2024, in Düsseldorf.
In the Name of Sustainability: The Path to More Environmentally Friendly Materials
The German Sustainability Award (DNP) for companies honors businesses that make impactful and exemplary contributions to transformation and set standards in their industry. The "Plastics and Rubber Industry" sector is particularly undergoing change: sustainable material alternatives, a focus on innovations in recyclability, and novel technological solutions are becoming increasingly important to close the raw material cycle. Accordingly, the DNP in this category recognizes companies that are future-oriented and pioneering the path to a circular economy.
"The Brückner Group, as a long-term oriented family business, is very aware of its responsibility in our industry and in the world, and therefore strives with all its might to advance sustainable solutions and projects. I am very pleased that this is increasingly succeeding and that we are being honored with this award," says Dr. Axel von Wiedersperg, CEO of the Brückner Group.
Recognized Pioneer in Sustainability
The DNP committee believes that the Brückner Group has earned a leadership role in the field of sustainability and represents a "beacon" of its sector in terms of successful transformation. "The German Sustainability Award is the most well-known and prestigious award for sustainability and environmental commitment in Germany. The Brückner Group has been making an important contribution to the sustainable transformation of the plastics industry towards a resource-conserving circular economy for years. We are proud that the continuous efforts of all our group companies are now being duly recognized with this award," says Adina Mittmannsgruber, Lead Group Sustainability.
