Technofilm S.A. invests in 10.4m BOPP line
Ecuadorian film producer Technofilm S.A. and Brückner Maschinenbau can look back on a long history. Already in 2009, Sigmaplast purchased its first film stretching line from Brückner – a 6.6m 5-layer BOPP specialty line before the company was transferred into Technofilm S.A. The Ecuadorians, who originally came from the converting business, wanted to use most of the films produced on this line for their own needs.
Since then, Technofilm has also been able to establish itself successfully as a BOPP film supplier in the competitive set. This was now followed by the necessary step to invest into another 10.4m 3-layer BOPP high-performance Brückner line for the commodity business in South America. The line will start production in 2025 increasing Technofilms capacity to 80,000 metric tons per year.
Ricardo Khamis, Gerente General at Technofilm S.A. says: “This investment is part of our commitment to guaranteed quality, stock, and superior service to our allied and new customers. We truly aim to provide the support that each and every one of our customers need. We are very pleased to have Brückner as a partner at our side for the new project as well."
Steffen Sieber, Head of Sales Americas at Brückner Maschinenbau: "We would like to thank Technofilm for the trust and loyalty they have placed in us. We are very pleased to be able to accompany them on their further way and support their unique success story."
